Matt DeProspero

Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Matt DeProspero received a degree in Illustration from Hussian College of Art and studied drawing and painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  

In his work Matt strives to capture a fleeting sense of time and place by faithfully interpreting the atmosphere, color and light of each scene, whether it be a landscape, interior or still-life. In doing so he hopes to elevate the everyday to a higher level of beauty and give the viewer a deeper appreciation for the world around us. As an avid plein air painter he is inspired by scenes that show evidence of the human hand and our connection to and influence upon the landscape.

Matt is an award-winning member of Oil Painters of America as well as being active in many local arts organizations in the Delaware Valley.
